ABC NEWS
Well half term is over, but the rain is lingering – Euro 2012 has begun and our men have never been so quiet. We are offering football widows a free trial at ABC so if you know anyone who is suffering let her know there is an escape route. We have loads coming up for you this week including – I talk to some of our cadets and Race4Life and their personal reasons for doing it. Hannah and Angus put in another appearance and this time Angus is explaining how those with Type 2 Diabetes can actually turn their lives around and reverse the effects using nutrition, Eaton is launching Titanium Project http://titaniumproject.wordpress.com/ and we hear from one of his current students and we give you the low-down on Sports Day. So as always, pop your feet up, grab a coffee and enjoy the read.

Race 4 Life – Our cadets tell their story

Lots of our cadets ran Race4Life this weekend at the embankment. I caught up with two of them this week to find out their very personal reasons for doing it. Here they share their stories with you . Just click on the links below.

Hannah Patterson talks to Angus about Diabetes and shares a gorgeous mango salsa recipe

Transformational Tip #4. Try not to fight your feelings. Emotions come and go. And that’s ok. If there’s one thing that yoga has taught me, it’s that everyday is different. I may go into a yoga class feeling really strong and focused and it turns out to be the worst time of my life. It’s the same with life – one minute you’re feeling on top of the world and the next, you’re feeling glum – and vice versa. Luckily, yoga has also taught me, through self awareness, that feelings (both happy and sad ones) pass. So observe them with the confidence to know that they too shall pass.

And if you’d like to try some of Hannah’s delicious recipes including mango salsa check out https://www.facebook.com/thejuicetv

Sports Day

Sport’s Day is looming and the gloves are off. Sunday July 1st is D-Day at Rushcliffe Country Park in Ruddington. It’s planned to be a fun day so please bring along friends and family and a picnic. Trainers are handing out entry forms this week. You need 10 people to a team and you can have as many teams as you like. There are team game as well as individual challenges when 2 from each side will compete. A lot of the games are fun style games but there will also be some familiar challenges in there like burpees :) It all starts at 12 and goes on until 4pm so come along and enjoy the day. We are hoping to make it an annual event and will choose a different park each year to host the event. We will be raising money for the park and local schools by charging each contestant £1 to enter and there will be a bucket around on the day for any donations. We are hoping to rasie enough money to buy some sports equipment for local schoolchildren. So roll up your sleeves and get stuck in and may the best man win!!

Final Word From Radley

Eaton is launching Titanium Project again on Friday and he’s looking for just FIVE more students to join him in his one to one specific strength and conditioning training. Don’t worry you don’t have to be superfit to do it but you do have to be 100% ready to elevate your fitness to a whole new level. Here’s David – one of his current students – to tell you a little more about it but I warn you now he’s not giving much away http://youtu.be/dWHff8o1rAc
